1. What Traxl is
Traxl is a location-sharing app for a small group of people you choose (a "Circle") or a temporary group session (a "Trip"). It lets members see each other's live location, set up alerts, and send an SOS. Traxl is free to use and funded by advertising; it does not currently charge for any feature.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be able to form a binding agreement to use Traxl.
- An account is created with an email address only. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure, since it is the only way to sign in.
- If you add a minor to a Circle you manage (for example, a child's phone), you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and are authorized to consent to location tracking on their behalf.
3. Sharing your location
Joining a Circle or a Trip means your live location is visible to the other members of that Circle or Trip for as long as you remain a member. You can leave a Circle or end a Trip at any time from your profile, which stops further sharing going forward.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't use Traxl to track someone who has not consented to being tracked, or where consent is required by law (for example, an adult who has not agreed to join your Circle).
- Don't use the SOS feature outside of a genuine emergency.
- Don't attempt to access another user's Circle, Trip, or location data without authorization.
5. No warranty for safety-critical use
Traxl relies on your phone's network connection, GPS, and battery, none of which are guaranteed to be available at all times. Traxl is a convenience tool and is not a substitute for emergency services. Always contact local emergency services directly in a genuine emergency.
6. Termination
You may stop using Traxl and delete your account at any time (see Delete Account & Data). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used to harm others.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Traxl adds features (for example, Trip mode, driver reports, or a future companion hardware tracker). Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
8. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact address listed in the app.
