Questions people ask
- Is Traxl free?
- Yes. Traxl is free to download and use, with no ads. A Circle holds up to five people.
- Does it work in the background?
- Yes. Turn on background sharing once and your Circle keeps seeing you even when the app is closed. You can switch it off any time from Settings.
- Does location sharing drain the battery?
- Traxl sends a position every few seconds while you move and settles to a steady anchor when you're still, so a phone sitting at home barely pings at all.
- Who can see my location?
- Only members of a Circle you've joined — never anyone else, and never publicly. Leave a Circle and sharing with it stops immediately.
- Is Traxl available on iPhone?
- Not yet. Traxl is Android-only for now, installed directly from traxl.in while we prepare the Play Store listing.
